Increasing Minimum Wage Will Not Decrease the Gap in Income Inequality

As the pressing issue of the controversial increase of the minimum wage becomes a forefront of the American political scene, perceived as a way to raise the incomes of poor and near-poor families involved in the work force, while decreasing the gap in income inequality between low and high earning classes. However, estimates of employment effects of minimum wages tell us relatively little about whether minimum wages are likely to achieve this goal; rather, minimum wage increases could result in net income losses for low-income families, a rise in unemployment, and an increase in overall income inequality. This brief uses the increase of the federal minimum wage to prove its negative effects not only on the economy but on the income inequality gap in the United States.

Do you support same-sex adoption?  Same-sex adoption is one of the many lesbian and gay rights that has not yet been realized because of a number of outdated stereotypes and traditional values.  We are advocating outlawing discrimination against same-sex couples by promoting a website highlighting the reasons to support same-sex adoption.
